So I am guilty of getting every recipe I try off Pinterest and my latest find was this Slow Cooker Turkey Chili that was originally done by shugarysweets.com!
I figure since we are expecting a storm this week/ weekend, what better meal to cook up than some good ol' fashion chili to help keep you warm? Nothing better!
Did I mention there was a ton of left overs?
Here is what you need:
- 1 pound of ground turkey
- 1 can of sweet corn (keep the juices!)
- 1 can of black beans (keep the juices!)
- 1 can of red kidney beans (keep the juices!)
- 1 can of tomato sauce
- 1 cupe of salsa (the chunkier, the better!)
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp of taco seasoning (I like it mild)
Here's what you do:
In your slow cooker mix together your cooked ground turkey, corn, beans, chunky salsa, tomato sauce, salt and taco seasoning. Pop that whole combo on the hr setting and let it do it's thing.
Head to work, come home & viola!
The recipe says to serve with sour cream, cheese, avocado & tortilla chips!
